This is a beautiful book which I bought as a gift for a friend. The copy I received actually came with a dust jacket: green with the colour plate of Red Riding Hood meeting the wolf in the forest on the front and another from Rapunzel, smaller, on the back. I have now bought two books from Calla Editions/Dover, this one and East of the Sun and West of the Moon (Calla Editions) illustrated by Kay Nielsen. I highly recommend them both for children and adult collectors alike.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my niece who, at the tender age of 7, is already a great reader. I buy her a quality edition of a book for Birthday's and Christmas and have previously given her many old favourites. Other reviewers have mentioned that it makes an excellent keepsake and I agree whole heartedly.

Excellent illustrations in a beautifully bound book. Relived my childhood love of fairy tales. Beautifully scripted and would be a wonderful gift for any child or adult who still has a love of past fairy tale books by the master Grim.

Confused
I think you need to provide different options, as this was a present, so how can I review it. Having said that, I thimk our grandson liked it.
