I realised I had a gap in my 'library' and that I did not have any of the traditional folk tales at all. Of course I turned immediately to Amazon and found this one straight away. The book itself is really quite beautiful with an illustrated cover, a presentation hard cover as well as the binding and a beautiful blue colour making it look rather impressive.
All the old favourites are in here; Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and so on with no namby pamby abridged endings either. This is the real thing where the woodcutter really does have to rip open the wolf and let out the child and Grandma too.
It's great stuff. It would be a super gift for a child but I need it so no relative of mine is having it. They can look when they come to visit

wrong publishing edition received

Received my book but instead of the version order was a total different print version of the book than the one advertised by Amazon. Did not return it since the total price did not worth the trouble but will be the first and last time I will buy from that supplier and from amazon for that matter.
