Perhaps with less charm than series one, series two continues character development and the evolving storyline with good scripts and good acting. Sometimes it seems that the writers and producers try too hard to conclude a case in a single episode which leaves the ending appearing rushed but this series continues to give great overall value and is well worth watching.

Grimm has really surprised me in how much i have become addicted to it. This series is in turns, funny, violent, dark, and silly, and it never seems to go too far in one direction before righting itself. This means that the show manages to change things up and keep your attention through a long run of episodes. Not every episode is a classic, but there are enough really good ones to know that you never need to go too many weaker efforts before hitting on something very good indeed.
Once again Detective Nick Burkhardt is fighting Wesen in Portland, aided by a growing retinue of helpers. The show follows the same wesen of the week format as the first series with overarching plot elements covered throughout the run.
If you enjoy fantasy or fairytales, or if you enjoy unorthodox police shows then get into Grimm. It is good harmless entertainment.

I love this tv show & since i don't have sky, have to wait patiently until release on box set which was pre-ordered. On receiving it & watching immediately I was sad to say that the occasional scene in which subtitles are used for the spanish & french, weren't not in sync with the scene & appeared three minutes or so later. Still love it though but a heads up for future buyers.

Another great season, but that ending?! The end result was pretty much inevitable and you could see it coming a mile off, but really. That doesn't mean you need to do it in the laziest most half arsed way possible!

**Spoiler**

There is a weakness in the writing of Grimm, that serves as an indication that the writers have a somewhat limited ability in certain areas. Major characters repeatedly drop their guard to the most ridiculous degree in the most dangerous situations, like stopping to examine a coffin when you know a dangerous foe is hiding literally within a few metres of you, while also knowing he wouldn't have had time to get into the coffin. There have been numerous examples of similar situations throughout both seasons, but this is by far the laziest.
