Perhaps with less charm than series one, series two continues character development and the evolving storyline with good scripts and good acting. Sometimes it seems that the writers and producers try too hard to conclude a case in a single episode which leaves the ending appearing rushed but this series continues to give great overall value and is well worth watching.

Grimm has really surprised me in how much i have become addicted to it. This series is in turns, funny, violent, dark, and silly, and it never seems to go too far in one direction before righting itself. This means that the show manages to change things up and keep your attention through a long run of episodes. Not every episode is a classic, but there are enough really good ones to know that you never need to go too many weaker efforts before hitting on something very good indeed.
Once again Detective Nick Burkhardt is fighting Wesen in Portland, aided by a growing retinue of helpers. The show follows the same wesen of the week format as the first series with overarching plot elements covered throughout the run.
If you enjoy fantasy or fairytales, or if you enjoy unorthodox police shows then get into Grimm. It is good harmless entertainment.

Both character and storyline grew, great visuals, Glad to see more people drawn in closer and active in the plot. However, I did feel the the cliffhanger episode at the end was a plot development a little too far. I think a spike in horror rather than sensationalism would have served better. Which is why I held back from the full five stars

This is a fifty star programme and I feel let down, the writers need to do more A.S.A.P., this cant end on the settee waiting for santa with booz and cigar, come on peoples write some more, good programs don't come along too often and they loose something in the middle BUT this is awsom watching material we need more, so PLEASE GET YOUR THINKING CAPS ON AND GET MORE OUT. A very true watcher and fan of GRIMM 1,2 AND 3, WAITING PATIENTLY.

I love this tv show & since i don't have sky, have to wait patiently until release on box set which was pre-ordered. On receiving it & watching immediately I was sad to say that the occasional scene in which subtitles are used for the spanish & french, weren't not in sync with the scene & appeared three minutes or so later. Still love it though but a heads up for future buyers.

What can I say about the series? Great, excellent, fantastic. Same for the discs, the quality etc is just great.

There's just 1 thing that bugs me: the fact that Season 2 comes in a different packaging than Season 1.
Season 1 came in 2 keepcases in a cardboard box; and on the back of the keepcases was an episode index.

Season 2 comes in a big keepcase, no cardboard box; and no episode index.

Is this bad? Not really, but it irritates me when there is no continuity on the DVD/Blu-ray shelf regarding (TV)series.

Season 1 of Grimm was fantastic, highly recommend it to anyone. Season 2 was completely ruined by being primarily focused on Juliette rather than the Grimm storyline. It's sad to see a series of such potential ruined by an attempt to shift the focus to such a weak character, it's meant I'm not really fussed at all about watching series 3.
