The iCurve is made from robust clear perspex and does indeed turn a laptop into a practical second monitor at a suitable height for the purpose, saving deskspace and - because the CPU is 'floating' in air - allows the laptop to stay much cooler than when flat on a desk.
To take advantage of the kit you will need an external keyboard...
It seems a lot of money for a very simple plastic moulding, but it is solid and it does turn my Ti book into a real desktop machine, saving it from scratching and keeping it same from my coffee cup at the same time.

BE WARNED: This item is the square Elevator laptop stand, not the curvy iCurve stand as pictured - when I rang eOutlet to query why I'd been sent the wrong item, they said they'd been trying to change the image on Amazon for some time - they claim Griffin no longer make the iCurve - and to their credit, it no longer appears on the Griffin website. Real shame as the iCurve is a much more attractive laptop stand.

I recently purchased this stand in the hope of achieving more desktop space. I have bought laptop stands before but none of them have really achieved that space saving quality which I was looking for. This one however has done it, lifting the laptop clear of the desk and with clear space underneath for my USB hub and the various cabling which goes along with it.
I am thoroughly pleased with this product and recommend it to others to buy.

Brilliant Buy...
This product eliminated a substantial amount of clutter around my desk and helped my posture as well considering that my Macbook Pro is now at the right eye level. Great Buy!!
