This product is not great, there is a lot of interferance.

It seems to work better but not perfect on the motor ways or away from built up areas, I have tried different frequencies but still get interferance.

It also seems that you have to turn the volume on the stereo up more than you usually would to get the same volume.

There is one great feature, but I am not sure its an intended feature:

For those of you who are concerned about falling a sleep at the wheel the iTrip will periodically (for no apparent reason) switch its self off, which results in very loud radio hiss coming from your stereo and depending how much you have increased your stereo volume to compensate for the iTrips bad signal this will freighten the life out of you, ensuring you stay awake and alert!

I would not recommend this product.

Really pleased with this as value for money. Easy to set up and works very well considering the simple nature of the process. Sound quality very good (not quite up to having a direct auxiliary connection or Bluetooth). Would heartily recommend it to others as has worked well in Ford Focus Mk 2 2007.

the product is good no dought about that, every time when i enter the car and i plug it to my iphone i need to remove and re enter the control to recognise its plugged it, ive got a single station saved as a radio station so i assumed that when u plug in the device in the headphone plug it would automatically play the music but i have to remove the main plug in and reenter it again for the music to be playing in the car, not bad with what i have but it could be better,

This product did not perform at all well and was returned, credit was eventually received after prolonged discussions on how the thing should work

This does what it says, but with the regular interference from static, this doesnt appear to be environmental as it can happen at any point - in rural areas, on motorways or in towns and cities, but rarely the same place twice. I have worked out that if you unplug the iTrip from the cigarette lighter and plug it in again, this clears the noisy static, but it is frustrating having to do this, particularly if its 2 or 3 times during the same track.

Next time I will ensure my new car has either an aux in port, or mp3 connectivity, if not I will spend the extra money to upgrade the whole stereo! This item is far too frustrating!

If you don't mind putting up with regular interruptions to your music, this does a job, but if I had the chance to try before buying, I wouldn't have bought!

I upgraded phone to an iPhone specifically to use for music in the car and this device works a treat! It also acts as a charger, though a second cable and phone port/connection, which is handy to charge one phone whilst playing a second. Very intuitive to use and easy to tune in to locate an available frequency and it receives strong signals, so I experience virtually no interruption in signal. I regularly drive 50 miles from home in one direction or another (and much further at least half a dozen times a year) and rarely have to reset the tuner.

I tried this but returned it. Using a Creative x-fi2 player, the iTrip cut out all the time, I think because the output from my player was not loud enough, even turned up to maximum. Loud music was Ok, but speech and quiet music caused it to switch off every few minutes. This is partly a 'feature': it's supposed to switch off when there's no input, but the sensitivity seems to be set much too low and it was completely unusable. When I researched it, lts of other people had the same problem. When it worked, the signal was good and it wasn't too sensitive to pulses from my phone.

I've now got a Belkin Tunecast, much better. It doesn't cut out (but does turn itself off when there really is nothing coming from the player), and is backlit all the time as well which helps a lot (the iTrip only lights up when you press a button). There is slight interference when the windscreen washer pump is in action, but not when the wipers are on.

Shame on Apple making my old Griffin unit obsolete wen I upgraded to iPhone 5S & furthermore making you use TWO cables to do the same job ONE cable did on the iPhone 4.

Works perfectly except the two wires leading to the iPhone looks very messy (one to the audio out port & one to the charging port).

Belkin appear to offer a solution with a single cable but charge you £60 for the privilege which is just ridiculous.
