Bought this as I am pretty accident prone, and read the reviews. Sure enough, Life went to form, and the little blighter escaped from my fleece pocket and went for a swim in the (clean!)River Kharzi.Despite the swift deployment of the SBS International Rescue (aka my hand)the expensive content's screen died.
I immediately immersed the precious cargo in Uncle Ben's finest, which in turn took the high ground on the radiator.
24 hours of the decompression tank failed to revive the item, and it died of the bends (screen died)
The bag of rice rang, took calls and functioned as a phone, but not even Stevie Wonder could work the touch screen which was completely blank.
So to conclude, the Griffin is suitable for land forces issue, but not for matelots. The rubber outer case is useful as it 'sticks' to the dashboard pretty well, and does not exit stage left into the footwell when turning. But as a downside, in your pocket the rubber also makes it difficult to remove. So a careful withdrawl is required when covered in rubber. Ooh Matron...
Good price for what it is.
