4.0 out of 5 stars Power when you dock 14 Feb 2009
By Sonic
I purchased this dock for a friend who has both an iPhone and iPod. It was very simple to setup, within minutes, and very easy to use. You are provided with just about every plastic adapter required for any of the iPods and iPhones made thus far. They very easily click into place on the dock and can be removed just as easily. Some are a more snug fit but they have thought about this and left small slits in the adapters that allow them to be leveraged out using a key, knife, etc.

The dock itself is finished in a very smart brushed aluminum effect with a tasteful logo on the front. The dock zones themselves are black plastic. The whole unit is styled very tastefully.

Another plus point about the dock is that it is fully compatible with the iphone and iPhone 3G so you don't get that message about compatibility and airplane mode every time you dock. The phone rings as normal on the stand.

This was a very impressive dock so I actually got one for myself as well and use it for my iPhone 3G and 2nd gen iPod Nano.

Very good purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin 7 Sep 2009
By JWP
I read all the other reviews carefully before buying this product. Having used it for a few days now, it does what it says on the tin, ie charges two Apple devices (only, no additional functions like audio etc).

Only downside is that if you have a case around the item then it won't fit the dock. I resolved this by removing the dock (which works fine) but not until after I had bought some extra Iphone ones, which are now gathering dust in a drawer!

A great product though that works really well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed 28 Jan 2009
By David
The kids (2) got iPod Nanos for Christmas. However, 2 Nanos, no charger (why, oh why Apple!) and 1 computer do not work well. This is the perfect solution. The 4G Nanos do come with the Universal dock inserts, so it makes it easy enough to set up. You can buy dock inserts from Apple Store if you need a second one for say an iPhone etc.

No more arguments!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok But... 11 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase
I bought this dock for my iphone 3GS & iPod Touch (latest 2010 version)
You get lots of plastic adapters inc the two i needed but a word of warning: I had an incipio feather case on my iphone which will not fit as the dock adapter is VERY snug. On my ipod Touch I only had a full body Invisible Shield skin but it still only fits with some effort - I worry that it may pull the skin off after a few connections.
Solution: leave the adapters off. As long as you're careful they fit with cases/skins. A bit wobbly obviously but they charge without any problems.
Conclusion: A great double charger at a great price. If you dont use a case on your gadget - no probs. If you do use a case/skin, you probably won't get it to connect with the adapter installed.
To be fair this is probably true for most docks/charges. When will someone come up with a clever soluion to this problem?

5.0 out of 5 stars Adaptors 13 April 2010
The dock is only provided with one set of adaptors so if you have two iphones then you're stuck. However having caontacted Griffin customer support by email they agreed to send me a second iphone adaptor, which arrived within a week...so problem was solved very quickly. Product looks great.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking and good concept but unreliable 16 Mar 2010
Verified Purchase
It sometimes charges iPhones. If you have 1 3GS on it, it works. If you have 1 3GS and 1 3G it sometimes charges both and sometimes only 1. It rarely succcessfully charges my iPhone 2G. So not really what I was looking for. I think it struggles to provide power to charge more than 1 phone at once.

Disappointing device really.

4.0 out of 5 stars Confusing at first 31 Dec 2008
Verified Purchase
This dock is great if you have 2 iPods/iPhones in your home (with the exception of shuffle). One warning is that you only get one of each adapter. This means you cannot charge 2 identical products at once (ie 2 iPhones). The reason it is confusing at start is because the adapters are unlabeled and it takes a bit of guesswork to find the one you need. Some are easy to get like the iPhone one which has holes for the speaker and mic, and the iPod Touch one, which is thin and curved.
