These little short-poke cables have rescued my desk and computer bag from an irritating spaghetti-snarl of USB cables. I use one of them to back up my iPhone and iPad; another lets me charge and move files to my Kindle Fire. I don't really use the third one. I bought two sets; I keep one set on the shelf over my laptop work area and the other in my computer bag.
The cables work as advertised. After several months of use, there is no noticeable wear. When they connect my devices to my laptop computer, their length leaves the devices awkwardly placed and largely unusable. But that's the price you pay for any short-cable solution to cable clutter. For me it is worth it. I bought a USB Squid Hub for those times I need a little more cable length. I don't need it very often.
These cords are very useful when long cords would get in the way or you are connecting items that would already be close together (laptop/iPod for a quick sync). They also help avoid tangled cords when traveling, I use them regularly while traveling with the New Trent Arcadia IMP70D External Battery Pack. It would be nice if they came with a travel case to keep them all together, they can be hard to find in larger bag compartments.
