I'm really happy with this product since it allows me to listen to the radio when I can't connect my iPod Touch to a wifi network.
The app needed to use the device is free to download from the AppStore, and, even though it's quite basic, works fine. It could be better, true, but the important thing is that radio works in your iPod and fills the gap until the moment that Apple decides to provide a proper radio reciever. You'll only get your local radios, though, because it works like your standard radio reciever, but the reception is very good.
Important: the 'stay awake' option in the app doesn't really make any difference (at least with iPod Touch); if you want to listen to the radio without the thing going dead, change your iPod settings so that it doesn't go to sleep. Then, if you want to save battery, also change the brightness settings to the low side while using the device.
So, from my point of view, this is the thing to use if your iPod doesn't have an built in radio reciever. It could be better but it's much better than not being able to listening to the radio while at work (yeah, my company doesn't want us to use their wifi network) or in places where there are not wifi connections available.

I've been looking desperately for an FM solution for my iPhone 3GS and eventually I came across this product. I did not expect much, reading the previous reviews, but I must say that this is actually decent value for money if you are able to live with some shortcomings of the device.
The reception is decent - nothing to write home about - but this is normal for an analogue device of that size. I mainly use it when I cycle and, being outdoors, I can't complain. Once you are inside, it's getting fuzzy, but I do not really care about that. I am pleased with the fact that I can listen to the radio uninterrupted... gone are the days when constant 3G network issues were causing freezes and breaks in streaming.
Now... the issues:) The radio would not work in the background with the screen switched off. Not sure if this is a limitation of the app or simply restrictions built within the OS. The way I go about it... I keep the screen on all the time (you can set it in settings), but I set the brightness to the minimum. It is quite annoying though that I cannot lock the phone when it's my pocket; sometimes the home button is pressed accidentally so I end up with some unwanted changes in settings. Nothing too dramatic so far though...
Also you would not be able to pick up calls while listening to the radio. But again, for me this is not a problem, as I would not cycle and have a phone conversation at the same time anyway.
Overall the value for money is OK but I am sure that Griffin could do a better job with the app.

Overall the radio seem to work very well. The app seems to work seamlessly with it and is very easy and intuitive to use. the signal seemed to be very good for the size of the thing. It did seem to turn itself off every 15 minutes or so. Not sure what the problem is, perhaps I have to have a fiddle with the setting or something.
