First review. Please note, this refers to experience of this product using an iPad 2 only. Not good.
Landscape mode - fine. Typing mode - fine. Portrait mode - not so good. I don't know if the iPad 2 is too heavy for it, but if you stand the pad in the unit in portrait mode you can see it immediately start to slowly slip backward (I actually turned on the camera and watched the image slowly move). The front ledge is not tall / steep enough to prevent the pad from tipping over (and yes, I did have the foot fully extended from the back of the unit - the unit is fine, it's the pad that slips).
Now this isn't really an issue for me because I just wanted a stand to hold the pad whilst I filmed something (hence the 2 stars - the other two modes are fine). I can prevent slippage by folding a sheet of paper and stuffing it down the back. However, for me to have to do that to get the unit to perform its intended function at this price point is a bit much. Should have been much, much cheaper. Still, as I say, my choice and my objective is achieved so generally happy.
Just be warned if you are an iPad 2 user.
