what can i say... firstly the wonderful packaging lets you know what a quality product you are buying with everything nicely presented and wrapped- similiar to how ipod's are packaged which is nice. Although may appear the plastic finish seems tacky- the actual product is very nice and feels well built and good quality, the individual speakers which are wireless feel weighty but not heavy at all to move from place to place.
the product comes with docks for all ipod models and comes with a funky if yet simple ipod style remote.
Having wireless speakers that you can put anywhere is great, it allows one to 'have music follow you'. Beautifully the remote isn't infra red so you can controll the system 50 metres away from dock. Each speakers can be turned on/off and more can be bought to add to the two standard.
dock itself has many connection types but i only use with my ipod. the dock charges the ipod nad knows left speaker to right when docked and sound can be turned to mono or stereo depending on scenario.
the remote feels looks and feels quality with none of that rubber buttons you get with normal tv remotes.
the wireless speakers work very well no matter where i am to the dock and is quite amazing and carrying your speaker with you is easy.
Sound is pretty good for the price is absolutely great whether as a system or from a speaker. the loadness is great and clear though doesn't really compete with niche sound systems say b & o.
All i can say is this is a must buy. It will revolutionise your music needs. listen whilst you brush your teeth, or wash the dishes to having a house party in and around your house.
must buy!

Disappointed 28 April 2009
The Evolve looks good and is easy to set up, but sounds like two cans and a peice of string. My Logitec 2.1 computer speakers that cost £35 sounds far better, thats what matters. The one star is basically for good customer service.

I have these since 2 years and use them almost every day to play internet radio from the computer everywhere in the house. The wireless section is very good. It works through walls and even in the basement although the transmitter is on the second floor. Congrats as well for the remote control that has very progressive volume level adjustment. The batteries in the speakers are lasting at least a full day i.e. 12 hours minimum and there is an auto switch off when the source stops more than 20 mn that is quite smart. The ergonomy is good as well since each speaker has a built in handle in the back. They're quite strong too: I dropped one speaker once on hard floor and absolutely nothing happened.
The only slight reproach I'd have is on the sound quality. The overal quality is quite acceptable though but these are 1 way speakers so the tonality is obviously more in the medium range. Unfortunately they are not equipped with coaxial speakers for crisper treble. The bass is not too bad actually for speakers of that size and can easily be improved (at least in the room where the dock is) by plugging in an external bass unit. They are a bit pricey but overall I'd say it's good value for the money. I still haven't seen a better or as pleasant device as this one, considering the use I have of it. A good purchase.
