What's EasyDock?

Like everybody else, I feel it's a real shame one has to purchase a protective cover for the sleek iPhone4, but...
I am SO glad I did!
Literally three weeks after fitting this item, I dropped my new phone, while placing it into my jacket pocket. It landed on the corner and bounced about a foot into the air. The casing has a small scuff on it, but at least my phone did not shatter into a million pieces. The case stayed in place, without any sign of breakage. I can also let my two year old daughter play Peppa Pig on the phone, without the fear of her breaking it...
It is fabricated from a stiff, high grade rubber, which actually feels good when held. I looked at other softer grade rubber cases, but they are too flimsy at the more slender sections of the cases. I like the carbon fibre print, too - looks like the real thing.
Only downside is you cannot dock with the Bose and have to remove the case, but then that allows you to pick all the pocket fluff off the phone.
When it gets a bit too scuffed for my liking, I will not hesitate to replace it with the same case.

I wanted my iPhone 4 protected from the off; too many people I've met have the `cracked screen' app. The iPhone 4 is already a bigger mobile than I'm used to, so I didn't want to make it too much bigger.
Uncased the iPhone 4 is approximately (by my ruler): 115mm high; 59mm wide; and 10mm thick. With the Griffin Elan Form Graphite case it bulks up to: 118mm high; 63mm wide; and 13.5mm thick. So not too-bad on the size increase.
The case comes in two parts (front and back) which clip easily together and show no signs of accidentally coming apart. It offers solid bump protection all-round, but you'll still need a screen protector to prevent scratches; I used the PhoneDevil Magic Screen protector: Crystal Clear (invisible) edition - For Apple iPhone 4 / 4G (2 x FRONT screen protectors). The case gives easy access to all the buttons and sockets as well as openings for the microphones, speakers, rear camera and flash.

It seems somewhat perverse to buy an expensive, slim, beautifully, elegantly designed object then sheath it in a cheap and relatively ugly, bulky plastic case. However, in the interests of protecting the expensive beautifully designed object, that's what many of us choose to do.
This one is pretty good. Although no thing of beauty, it is a good fit and is robust - I dropped mine down a flight of metal-edged stairs and the case took a couple of dents but no damage whatsoever to the phone.
It's thoughtfully designed with the apertures for the camera, dock and buttons all sensibly sized and in the right place, and it's relatively compact so doesn't add too much bulk when it's in your pocket. The two parts fit together well and the build quality is good. So all in all, fit for purpose, it does a good job and I'd recommend it.

Case lasted one week
Although this is a nice strong case for your iPhone 4S, the quality was very poor, with the rear part detaching after one week of use.
