This works exactly as specified so can't help but wonder why so many people appear to have problems. Possibly they haven't seen the on off switch on the remote (not a common thing I will admit).
The biggest problem I have had is getting the adaptor correctly configured (putting the correct plug on) and that took all of 2 minutes max.
Plugged in the power supply as required, plugged in the analogue lead to my Creative SoundWorks system and there was sound.
Plugged into a USB port on my PC and it also works witn it only stopping if I allow ITunes to take over
The only down side, is exactly the same as most of these adaptors suffer from and that is you can only jump from track to track in the same mode as the ipod is set up, ie if you're playing an album you can only remotely jump to another track on the same album, if you are playing in shuffle mode you jump backwards and forwards in that and so it goes on. The only way to get past this is by buying something a lot dearer (we're talking about hundreds not tens, my sony cinema system does this using the tv screen to show what you are playing)
For the price it's a great bit of kit and I for one can't fault it.
