5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product! 14 Nov 2010
Used this for a couple of weeks now - running about 20 miles a week, 4 - 5 miles a time. Been out with it in all types of weather. It stays secure on what is a relatively skinny arm and is, in fact, comfortable.
Iphone 4 fits easily and is removed easily - even with a thin case which I do not have to remove. Aside from being a pain to operate on your arm (through no fault of the product) this is a truly excellent product. I took a long time choosing which case to have for my runs but this one seems to everything I want it to do and as such lets me focus on my run. It almost makes me feel bad using Nike Run GPS and not MiCoach!

    5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - very pleased! 22 Dec 2010
Really pleased with my armband. I had an iGadgitz armband first of all which fell off the first time and gave me a friction burn the second time. The Mi Coach armband fits snuggly and comfortably on my slim (lady's) upper arm (with a secure grip), but has a wide enough velcro-backed band to fit someone with more muscle! My iPhone4 also fits in there without taking off its protective bumper (although it is a bit of a squeeze). There is a small compartment which can either hold a key or some excess headphone wire. Made of a slim black sports material and its washable too. A real bonus for my training.

4.0 out of 5 stars miCoach Armband Review 2 Feb 2011
I decided to purchase this armband because I go running in the gym quite often, and I wanted somewhere to store my iPhone 3G, so it wasnt rattling around in my pocket all the time.

Overall this product is exactly what you would expect. It fits around the arm well and the velcro is strong enough to withstand sustained running without falling off. It houses my iPhone 3G well and it doesnt rattle around whilst its in the armband, and I am still able to use the touch screen through the protective layer on the band, which is nice.

My only complaint is that its hard to access the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone and the on/off button on the top are hard to access as there are no cut out access points in the armband, so you have to guess where they are and hope for the best. The armband also contains a slot for a key. It really is just big enough for one key, but as long as that isnt a problem, then theres nothing else that I would say against the product.

1.0 out of 5 stars One use then SNAP 11 Feb 2011

I had exactly the same issue as the previous reviewer - used it once and quite happy with it. Second time, I was adjusting the position of the armband on my (not exactly muscular!) arm when the thin, cheap piece of plastic that attaches the straps split. It's too thin to be mended.

Bought a cheaper more substantial armband instead. Disappointed that Adidas decided to allow such a shoddy manufacturer to use their branding.

So as a brief background I've been using the micoach system for a couple of years now and am a fan. Primarily I use it as a running and rugby cardio coach and as such was looking for an armband to match.

Having trashed a cheap and cheerful Belkin after upgrading from a 3G to a 4S iPhone I purchased this Griffin Adidas product.

On the surface it ticked alot of boxes - made to measure for 4S, weather resistance, built for the micoach system, a nifty key pocket.

And then it arrived and four things knock its value on its head.

First off it was a pain to get out of the box resulting in left over packing that I'm pretty sure will void any returns.

Second and probably crucially is the adjustment strap length is wayyyy too short. I don't have bulging biceps (wouldn't that be nice) but I'm not a slender man either and as such with this product from the go I'm on the very limits of the armband adjustment length. This is a real pain as putting it on requires a lot of focus and one handed dexterity as you try to hold on to the tip of the strap and not let it slide off as you try, very hard, to pull the band up and around your arm. It took at least 5 tries for me to get this the first time.

Thirdly and this is more of a nuisance then anything the weathering flap that folds over the top of the phone to keep it somewhat weather tight covers over the front facing camera. This is the sensor that the phone uses to automatically adjust its display brightness and as such using this armband results in the phone dimming the display drastically as it thinks its in the dead of night. When you're out on a sunny day you'll really struggle to read the display at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product 16 Mar 2011
Used it for iPhone 4 for the first time at the gym today. Very pleased that it fits on my arm as I have always struggled to find anything that fits at all (upper arm circumference around 9 inches). The non-slip plastic dots hold the armband well in place. Phone sits very securely in the pocket and no problem using the touch-screen.
The plastic loop for securing the strap does look very thin as other reviews pointed out, but as long as you don't over stretch it I don't think it'll snap.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good armband overall 11 Jun 2011
I bought this armband one month ago and after running with it about 10 times I'm quite happy with it.

PROS: Looks great, It stays in place, holds my Iphone 3GS very firmly, it's not uncomfortable, very light, I can control the screen quite easily

CONS: The key pocket only has room for one key. I need two to get into my appartement so that's a bit annoying. The other thing is inherent to most if not all armbands (as far as I've been able to research it online). The GPS signal does weaken considerably because the phone is pressed against the arm. With clear skies it doesn't seem to be much of a problem, but in bad weather it sometimes fails completely.

Still I would recommend this product.

A decent enough product but does not adjust small enough for my wife's arm. Bear this in mind before buying. Surely most runners have got arte slim and so have small arms???
