Why buy 12 cd of Grieg complete piano box set in one go.Impluse that is richly rewarded.Listen to any cd in the box set and you will be impressed with sound and how melodius the music is and in no time you will be addicted to piano tune even some lasted 30 seconds.Since I bought I played 3 cd in one siting, of course,break for tea and meal.Get this box set and you will treasure his piano music.Life is short and you need a break instead of listening to old warhorse of Bruckner,Mahler and webern.It is webern meet Struss light music.Highly recommended.All Music guide said 12 cd is too much for Grieg piano works,have they listened to the complete set,so far I have listened to 8 cd and I am not bored or the saying eating too much chocholate make you sick but I am sick listening to Grieg piano music,pass me another bar......

Eva Knardahl's body of recorded work only came to my attention a year ago while browsing through the Naxos Streaming Library. I was instantly captivated by her unique style and amazed at how many solo piano works by Grieg I had missed from the general A list labels. Although the title indicates solo works the set does include two recordings of the Piano Concerto In A Minor. Rather than ramble on about how good the recordings are I shall include a few of the titles which are not indicated here.
Lyric Pieces; Four Piano Pieces, Op. 1; Humoresques, Op. 6; Funeral March for Rikard Nordraak; 25 Norwegian Folksongs & Dances, Op. 17; Scenes From Folk Life, Op. 19; Four Album Leaves, Op. 28; 4 Norwegian Dances, Op. 35; Melodies For Strings, Op. 53; 6 Norwegian Mountain Melodies, Op. 112 etc.
The disks are priced extremely low...approximately $50 USD cheaper than the mp3 iTunes download of the same set. Why wait till it disappears from the CD catalogue?
