This data was taken directly from a 1999 study also published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition [Dulloo AG, Duret C, Rohrer D, Girardier L, Mensi N, Fathi M, Chantre P, Vandermander J. Efficacy of a green tea extract rich in catechin polyphenols and caffeine in increasing 24-h energy expenditure and fat oxidation in humans. Am J Clin Nutr. 70:1040-45, 1999].It shows the increased rate of calorie-burning in 24-hours in a group who were given green tea (the key ingredient in Grenade) versus a group who received caffeine versus placebo. There were only 10 subjects but because each subject was subjected randomly to each treatment (a “cross-over” design), the variability that usually occurs between different subjects does not come into play in this study. So the results would be expected to be valid.
Third Graph--Significantly More Fat Burned in 24 Hours
***This graph depicts the increased rate of fat-burning (measured in grams of fat) over 24-hours in a group who were given green tea (the key ingredient in Grenade) versus a group who received caffeine versus placebo. This data came from the same study as above but this time looked at the amount of fat burned (in grams) in 24-hours in the green tea versus caffeine versus placebo group. This wasn’t during exercise. It put the subjects in a respiratory chamber that accurately measured the fat and calories burned. So the green tea group burned about 100 grams of fat in a day and the placebo burned about 85 grams. Generally, 12-year old studies are considered just as valid as more recent studies as long as validated scientific methods and equipment were used (and this study was carries out by very experienced researchers who have published hundreds of studies. Thought I'd take a chance and buy two boxes/grenades of this product.
While the packaging is absolutely ridiculous, the product itself is incredible!
I followed the instructions and had only 1 a day initially to get to grips with the boost/caffeine levels of the tablets, but I'm almost finishing the first box I bought and I've lost about 10 pounds (in 3.5wks)!
I would seriously recommend this product, but as with any other supplements (I've tried a lot btw), you have to combine it with a good diet! This is where Grenade has helped endlessly- my workouts in the gym are way more productive- spacing 2 tablets across the day (2 at 9:30am and two more at about 1:30/2pm gives a great energy boost- but moreso it suppresses cravings and appetite like nothing else I've ever tried.
Only downside I can see is if you're not drinking enough water per day, it can give you a 'heartburn' sensation- only way I can describe it.
But thats just another reason to drink the recommended 3-4lts of water a day, which in turn also suppresses your appetite!
Cant praise this product enough- and I generally don't review products often, but if you're considering a purchase, I'd recommend you give these a try (with a good diet, plenty of water and good exercise 3/4 days a week).

As a Fitness Instructor I see so many fat burning supplements come and go in my gym. Grenade is one of the very few which has proven itself to be superior to the 'norm'. It is worth pointing out, however, that as with all fat burning supplements the key word is indeed 'supplement', i.e. if you do not make any effort with your dieting and your workout regime you cannot expect results, it isn't a 'miracle pill' after all. So many people waste their hard earned money on supplements because they believe they'll give results like that, largely due to the often over-hyped marketing claims.
Okay so onto the supplement itself. Grenade delivers all the ingredients you'd expect to see in a fat stripping supplement, with green tea extract to help surpress appetite, caffeine to increase your workout intensity and help you push your body's metabolism through the roof. Simply put, this is a rock solid fat burner.
After watching many gym users try this and, those who used it with a solid diet and training regime, get good resuts from it I decided to cycle it into my own regime for a couple of months as we moved onto a toning program from strength training. After just one week I lost 2kg's and, more importantly, maintained muscle mass and tone at the same time. It does it's job if you do yours.
One guy asked me to take a look at the ingredients to see if anything was illegal, because he was going to be moving abroad and didn't want to be stopped by customs for having this supplement in his bag. I can confirm there is nothing illegal in here, although I had to warn him he might still get stopped by customs officers because, well, it's shaped like a grenade, LOL.
Notes:
1)Possible side effects include headaches. As you increase your dosage from 1 to 2 capsules before your workout (8 days into usage) you might find you get headaches. This thing is literally stuffed with caffeine, remember. Also be sure to drop anything else from your diet with high caffeine content because it will make you feel quite ill temporarily due to the massive amount of caffeine you'll already be intaking from your Grenades.
2) Drink lots of water when you use this. Also remember to drink when you are working out.
3) The packaging is good and bad. It looks excellent in a grenade shaped tub, but opening it is a nightmare at first. Undoubtedly, like most Grenade users, you'll pop the lid off and shower yourself in green tablets (LOL) but the trick is to slowly prize the lid off. You'll get the hang of it by day three, but the manufacturers should have sorted this out before release.
Overall, a good supplement.

These work really well! Like other reviewers I've tried other tablets to boost my gym efforts and try to budge some of that excess fat a bit quicker but nothing worked quite like these. You do need to have a decent diet and gym routine otherwise your wasting your money on any pill like this, and as someone else said, drink lots and lots of water! You will feel ill and damage yourself if you dont. I coupled this with some good protein and was amazed.
