I recently ordered the Comicon version of Gizmo. I ordered one for my Girlfriend, as well as one for myself (Hey, sue me...Gizmo is pretty freakin cute).
It is a fantastic figure. Most sites say it's 7 inches tall... but that is not the case. The figure is really only 4 inches tall. Which isn't a BAD thing... but slightly disappointing for unsuspecting buyers. I bought mine knowing the size already.
The unique eye articulation isn't as cool as some would think. Sometimes, the eyes are looking in 2 different directions. But they can be fixed just as easy.
Neca really hit the ball out of the park with the Gremlins series. I adore these things. My Girlfriend loves Gizmo, so this made here whole year.
WELL worth the price!!
(TIP: If you are going to purchase the normal version of this figure, make sure it's not from the seller "America Collectibles". I ordered from them before this version and after 2 months of it being labeled as shipped, I found out they didn't even have the item in stock!. So they already charged my card and told me they shipped the item... when they didn't even have it!)

The detail on this figure is amazing. The articulation is way better than the original NECA Gizmo, but the fundamental flaw with this new figure is the addition that would have made it cooler: Moveable eyes. The moveable eyes on this figure are incredible loose. I don't mean a little loose, I mean it takes an act of god to have them stay in the right position. Also the tracking for the eyes is loose too. You may move the eyes one way but because the joints inside are so loose, one eye always wanders off which makes Gizmo look more like Daffy from The New Batch than making him look like the adorable Mogwai we all know and love. Over all its a good figure and if you can grab one for under $20, go for it, but please note, the figure is more for display than play, which any NECA connoisseur should already know. If you set the eyes and manage to get them perfect, it's a wonderful addition to any collection.

I just received this Comic Con exclusive Gizmo action figure, and I have to say that I'm extremely thrilled! Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch, are easily two of my most favorite movies, and once again Neca has done these cute little critters justice! The amount of detail is amazing, but seeing as I keep my little
Mogwais in there packages, I can't speak to the articulation. But, because Neca's articulation is always average to above average, I would doubt Gizmo has any less than I've come to expect from this superb action figure creator.
And speaking of Neca, I buy a lot of their movie related action figures and it seems to me that, they must take a little more pride when it comes to any Gremlins figures. I own the three pack set of Gizmo, Stripe and the poker player Gremlin, and I also own Brain. And all of those, including this new Gizmo, absolutely look the best out of all my Neca action figures. I also ordered the new set of three Mogwais that are available now, and I'm chomping at the bit, for Neca to release the next three in this collection, that includes Combat Gizmo, Mohawk and my very, totally insane favorite, Daffy! He made me laugh so hard in the sequel!
So if you are having any, "I'm not so sure" thoughts, about buying this special Comic Con edition Gizmo, or any of the new Mogwai set, don't, they are truly unique and totally awesome. If you're a Gremlins enthusiast, you will love these little buggers!
I do have one little qualm with this version of Gizmo though, and that would be his eyes. When I looked at them, my first reaction was "Does Gizmo have some kind of Mogwai disease!?". The what should be whites of his eyes, well, they aren't white! Now I don't know if I somehow received a bad version of this action figure, where something went wrong with dying his eyes white, and instead they left it this kind of sick looking brown and toffee colored weirdness that they are? It doesn't ruin the action figure for me, but if I had a choice I definitely wouldn't have gone with a coffee colored color, around his pupils. Like I said, it just makes me think that Gizmo caught conjunctivitis or some strange eye virus! I don't know, maybe I just got unlucky here, but I would be interested to hear from any other reviewers, if you noticed the strange eye color choice as I did?
But like I said, don't let that detract from your decision about buying the best Mogwai in the book!
