Biography

It's been a wild and crazy ride for Gainesville's Less Than Jake, who first met at the University Of Florida over a decade and a half ago. But instead of kicking their feet up and resting on their laurels, the ever-busy quintet have been working hard on the next chapter of Less Than Jake. Successfully extricating themselves from their major label contract (even though they still owed ... Read more in Amazon's Less Than Jake Store

Still going strong. Unlike other bands in this genres they haven't lost one bit of their ability to kick ass

Much better than the reviews posted so far 22 Jun. 2013
By N. Kent - Published on Amazon.com

The average-to-bad ratings this cd is receiving, so far, are making me scratch my head. This is, easily, their best release since Anthem... I just don't get it. These songs are the closest thing to Hello Rockview / Borders & Boundaries era Less Than Jake as you're gonna get. I enjoyed GNV FLA, initially, but it had zero lasting value for me and now I don't listen to it. With this, though I can tell that these songs are going to stick around with me for a while. Tracks like Can't Yell Any Louder, Flag Holder's Union, and Life Led Out Loud are some of the best LTJ tracks in about a decade. I highly recommend this disc to anyone that remotely likes this band.

Great album. 6 Dec. 2012

Great album, though it kinda sucks if you've already purchased the Greetings from LTJ and Seasons Greetings from LTJ albums, since this is just those two, combined, rearranged, and with two more songs, which aren't as good as the ten from the two EPs. ALL THAT HAVING BEEN SAID, this is still a great album. I probably would have given it four and a half stars if they had let me, but Amazon is stupid, and I basically have to give this album an A+ or a B- thanks to their scale, so they get a 100, but it's really more like an A-.

Better than their last couple of albums. They keep it simple and make it sound more like Less Than Jake.

Decent album, but not as good as GNV FLA. 12 Dec. 2012
By Thane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Greetings & Salutations is, overall, a pretty good album. Not the best by LTJ, but not the worst. I thought GNV FLA was an incredible album and a good step in the right direction. It was definitely reminiscent of the old LTJ we all knew and loved. But I feel like Greetings & Salutations has some good songs, like "The New Auld Lang Syne", "Younger Lungs", "A Return to Headphones", "Can't Yell Any Louder", "Harvey Wallbanger", and "Finer Points", some mediocre songs like "Goodbye, Mr. Personality", "Done and Dusted", and "Life Led Out Loud", and just some plain bad songs like "View from the Middle", "Flag Holders Union" and "Oldest Trick In the Book." But I feel like they went downhill from GNV FLA.

Either way, it's a good album if you're a LTJ fan and always good to just hear some new songs. Btw, these aren't old songs, this is a combination of two EPs mixed in with a new song to two. The first EP was released in 2011 and the other just a couple of months ago.
