Criminally ignored over the last two decades outside of their native Ireland, it's great to see the Franks still going and churing out heart-rending pop anthems. This album (which must be their sixth or seventh) is choc full of them and those that have stuck faithfully with the band will not be disappointed. But if you're one of those that have just stumbled across them again, thinking "oh I didn't know they were still around" you should invest in this album - you'll be pleasantly surprised. It will probably encourage you to invest in their rich and diverse back catalogue. Their album Beauty Becomes More Than Life is an undiscovered classic of recent years.
They're touring at the moment and I for one can't wait to see them in Manchester in November.
