Format:Paperback
I have to admit a decided preference to De Lint's older works - his newer stuff is lovely as well of course but the older books such as Moonheart, Spiritwalk and Greenmantle have a certain charm about them that is difficult to find in books these days. Greenmantle is wonderful - alternately heart warming and horrifying, portraying both the best and the worst of the human race, and managing to integrate faery tales beautifully and skillfully into the story, to make an interesting, engrossing story that is well worth the read.

One of the author's celtic-fantasy style stories and absolutely gripping from beginning to end - and a super ending, too. Slightly more violent than some of his other celtic tales but not overly so and within the context of the story. If you have any interest at all in The Green Man, this is a very interesting story - and is just as interesting if you know nothing at all about The Green Man.
