5.0 out of 5 stars an excellent book, 16 Jun 2010
This review is from: The Green Wiccan Herbal (Paperback)
I was bought this by my friend as was interested in working with herbs. I found this an excellent read, easy to understand with clear instructions. I also loved the oldy worldy presentation of the book.

I can't wait to get my own peice of green heaven, and work some of these recipes.

i would definatly recomend this to anyone who is interested in working with herbs and candles as there is some info on that too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buy something more accurate!!, 21 Dec 2010
This review is from: The Green Wiccan Herbal (Paperback)
Such as pretty book, what a shame the information in it is so inaccurate. The planetary and deity attributions each herbare, for the most part entirely wrong. Even her descriptions of the deities are a little off. Since when is Athena a goddess of luck? I could go on and on. I'd strongly suggest if you are interested in Herbal Magick, a craft I have practised (in Ireland) for over 30 years, that you buy A Compendium of Herbal Magick by Paul Beryl, it might not look so pretty on your coffee table but at least it has accurate well researched information. For the serious Student go for Compendium of Symbolic and Ritual Plants in Europe published by man and culture (in 2 volumes). If you are interested in Irish Herbal Magick try Gina McGarry's book Brighid's Healing, which has a much more authentic feel.

I am happy with the contents of the book, my only complaint is the printing, I find the ink is too light, and I had a hard time to see the words and to read them.
