1.0 out of 5 stars Spot The Odd One Out!, 8 Sep 2009
Two really bad movies & one that isn't as bad as you might imagine.
First, the two turkeys: Love, Honour & Obey has a great cast, no doubt about that, but it's little more than a semi-improvised farce for the ex-drama school buddies featured who, no doubt, enjoyed themselves at the time. It tries to fit the part-comedy, part-violent gangster genre but fails to amuse & never shocks. Awful.
Next up, Green Street. Do yourself a favour; if, like me, you know little about the film's cast, play "guess the accent" or spot the faux cockneys. Any Londoners involved in the making of this should've challegened the director about her obvious lack of knowledge surrounding the British capital city slang that features here. We just DON'T say "apples & pears" whenever we walk up steps! As for the frequent fight sequences, they're more akin to a Hong Kong flick then a gritty east London set-piece. Terrible.
Lastly, I.D. I know Reece Dinsdale's London accent is awful, that aside; the film provides an exciting twist for those fed-up with the stereotypical football hooligan fare. The film is superbly cast (apart from a few odd-looking minor characters) & nobody lets the side down. Great.
Get the trilogy offered. Watch I.D. sober. You'll need a drink to enjoy the other two.

If you enjoy your testosterone-fulled films then this set is definitely one to have in your collection. All 3 films are superb and shows the the British hooligan/gangster genre is heading forward in a very positive way.

Include this with The Football Factory and Rise of the foot Soldier and your there :)
