This Diablo works an absolute treat, you get 2 bits of bread and push them into the diable a bit like a mince pie!
Then fill with whatever is in the fridge (cheese and ham is the best!) and then close the unit.
Put it on the hob for 3 minutes each side and it makes a cracking toastie sandwich.
Very easy to clean as it is titanium coated and does what it says on the tin.
Also makes a great little bread and butter pudding!!
Strongly recommended and a nice gift.

This really does make very nice toasted sandwiches. I have been using mine for a few years now and the only gripe is that you waste some bread - but that keeps the birds happy, I suppose.
You have to put a piece of bread in each side and press it to fit, then you have lots of space to insert the ingredients of your choice. The two sides then close together, chopping the bread into a circular shape (hence the waste).
The handle stays cool but, as another reviewer said, you do have to be careful not to touch the sandwich end as that stays hot for a while.
The finished sandwich slides easily out once it has been toasted and always looks good. I have tried a few sandwich makers over time but this is the only one that has delivered continually good results and is built to last.

I hate sandwich toasters. I hate that if you want a decent amount of filling, it all drips out and into the gubbings where you cant reach with a cloth, and it drips onto the worktop, I hate that. I hate it when the sandwich sticks to the plates. I could go on but I think I've made my point.
Problem is, I love toasted sandwiches.
This product was made for people like me, I LOVE IT!
I received it this morning (not from Amazon, though wish I had seen it here first, it's a better price!) and have made three sandwiches already.
No mess(sandwich is closed all round so nothing escapes),
No sticking(Diablo has a great coating - just tip it out!),
Easy to clean(wiped clean in seconds, and dishwasher safe),
Kids happy,
Me very happy.
Others have commented that the sandwiches are a bit small, How big is your bread???!! You do need to cut the corners off, but the sandwich covered the width of the slice, so it's only a little, but it more than makes up for that by the amount of filling you can stuff in!!
Do watch the hot parts though, and the slightly fiddly catch to close it. It's not difficult, just different and only a matter of getting used to it. I practiced before using, but once the bread and filling were in place, it was harder as you've got to keep it flat!
