Product Description

Product Description

While Qwirkle is as simple as matching colours and shapes, it also requires tactical maneuvers and well-planned strategy. The game consists of 108 wooden tiles with six shapes in six colours. Using the tiles, players score points by building lines that share a common attribute - either colour or shape. Qwirkle is a quick game to learn, but you'll soon discover that you need to think strategically in order to score the most points.

Product Description

If you like Scrabble and adore dominoes, you'll love Qwirkle, a game of strategy based on color and shape rather than letter, so both readers and non-readers can play. Qwirkle is a pattern-recognition game that makes you think and laugh out loud. Draw 6 of the wooden tiles to start and see how many rows and columns you can build. Earn points by building rows and columns of blocks that share a common shape or color. The result is never the same twice!

a good family game 15 Sep 2008
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
With Qwirkle you have to build rows of six squares of the same colour or shape. We bought it for our 5 year old and we all find it quite addictive. It really gets the brain cells working and is one that parents and children won't get bored with. This is one of our favourite games and definitely brings out the competitive side in our family!

Great for all ages 15 Jan 2009

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
This is the only game that ever comes out of the cupboard anymore and we've already had it for two years. The kids loved it from the age of five and adults also love it. The good thing is that kids and adults can play against eachother without the kids being overly handicapped. Buy it and you can kiss goodbye to that old Monopoly set!!!

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I played this game at a friend's house with a 6 year old and a 10 year old and 2 adults and we all enjoyed it. I then bought the game for myself and have played it with various adult/child combinations. The game can be a bit long for younger children but they still enjoy it. The pieces could also be used to do colour/shape matching with very young children. Qwirkle is also still fun to play without scoring which is helpful with a wide range of ages. Now if only there was a travel version.....
