From the alligator to the zebra, the Alpha Animals game takes your through the alphabet from A-Z with animals: how many beginning with each letter of the alphabet can you name? Players choose their animal pieces to move around the board with (there can be up to six players), and roll the dice to find out which type of animal they have to think of: Air, Sea or Land. For example, if the player's animal counter is on the letter 'D' and they roll 'Sea', they must think of a sea-dwelling animal beginning with 'D'. When you roll the dice, you might have to pick a card and follow its instructions, or if you're really lucky you can get a free go. This game is perfect for learning about lots of different animals as well as perfecting the alphabet and letter sounds. Don't forget to make plenty of animal noises as you go along! There are two different levels of gameplay for different challenges, and the game itself is made from recycled materials to be extra kind to the animals of the world. Suitable from 5 years. Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Game includes board, dice, six wooden animal pieces, 55 action cards and a rules booklet with animal classifications. I bought this for my son's fourth birthday and he loved it. Great for those learning phonics as they have to think of animals beginning with the letter they land on. Now he's got used to knowing which animal begins with which letter you make it harder as it has to be an animal from a particular habitat depending on which colour you roll for example, animal that lives in the ocean, jungle, sky etc. Fantastic game, fab for learning letters and animals!
