Greek Waters Pilot is the definitive cruising guide to the coasts and islands of Greece. It covers the entire area from the Ionian Islands to the Aegean, Rhodes and Crete and includes details of over 450 harbours in a single volume. Greek Waters Pilot has been painstakingly compiled from the author's own survey work and the latest first hand information. This tenth edition coincides with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the launch of the original Greek Waters Pilot. As with each preceding edition this one includes further updating and improvement. Between 2005 and 2007 Rod Heikell and his wife Lu revisited much of the Ionian, Saronic and Dodecanese in their present yacht, Skylax, picking up new information, additional photographs and updated plans. The organization of detail within the confines of a single volume is an impressive achievement and has been the basis of Greek Waters Pilots' status as the indispensable guide for anyone sailing around Greece.

Rod Heikell's guides are seen as the definitive guides to sailing (cruising) in Greek waters.
Ports, harbours and marinas are clearly and accurately described and the diagrams are clear and easy to follow. We sailed recently in Greece and along with the Imray chart, this guide formed all the information you are likely to need.
My one complaint is that co-ordinates are not given for the ports, harbours, marinas and other points of interest such as quiet anchorages and bays. To input these into the GPS meant going back to the chart, where it would have been so much easier to be able to lift them straight from the guide. Hopefully this will be fixed in later editions. Otherwise an essential guide to anyone wanting to cruise the waters around Greece.
If you have a boat and sail arround in Greece you NEED this.It has everything you need. This new edition is updated in every single detail, making this book a must!Informations about all the things you need taken from experts.
The book was reasonably helpful as we sailed around that area, but it is in need off updating as some of the information is way out of date and improvements had been made
Very accurate, good comments, answered all my nautical questions. It would be even better if they published it as an e-book so one could look up everything on the laptop.
The book is not bad, but it is very old. I forgot to ask for the edition, so it is my fault. But normally the edition is given in the description. Then you can decide whether you are collecting books or you are reading and in this case using books. The isles do not change in 16 years but the harbors.
For sailing in the Med, the relevant Rod Heikel pilot is an essential reference work. Taking the whole book each time may give you weight problems with your baggage!
