I wasn't sure when I ordered but this is indeed the same book (newer edition) of the popular The Usborne Illustrated Guide to Greek Myths and Legends
It IS technically a children's book but don't let that deter you. I actually bought this for myself as I've always been interested in Greek mythology and didn't know quite where to start! As you can see from the video, the book is colourful, fun and the information is well-organized. If you want to get into Greek mythology this is as good a place to start as any - better perhaps because the information is presented in such a accessible way! If by the end of the book you are just as fascinated as ever with the ancient Greeks then there are lots of books (for adults) that you can buy but if not, you've not really lost anything and probably saved yourself a small fortune in book-buying!

Although I purchased this book for my son, I found it a very interesting overview of the Greek myths and legends myself. My son also likes me to read stories from it. Like most Usbourne books, good quality, educationally sound and lovely illustrations.

I bought this for a grandchild and of course I read it before giving it to her. It's just so much better, more appealing, more interesting than any of the mythology books I read when I was young. (and I read every mythology book in the library) Why weren't there books like this around when I was ten? Buy it - you'll love it.

The book is about Greek and some Roman mythology given in short stories but like the Norse Myths book it was BORING. Read more

Not the best
I should have noted how many pages there were in the book as it turned out to be very thin and moreover was pretty light on details.

Explains everything clearly and simply - just what you need to understand the basics. Ideal for adults and children alike.
