Having looked through a number of guide books in bookshops I went for this one as it seemed the most comprehensive for what I wanted. It didn't disappoint! If you're hitting 'the islands' to party then don't bother getting this. If you want more in-depth, cultural and historical information give this some serious consideration. Although it didn't cover everything I wanted, it definately ticked almost all the boxes. It does tend to go for the 'touristy' restaurants/shops rather than the true blue Greek establishments. If you're a worldly wise traveller who goes off the beaten track to find the 'little gems' don't rely on this book, however, this is still worth serious consideration for good solid information that will not see you wrong! This is the third travel book in the series I have purchased and always check the series out before going elsewhere.

We spent a week sailing in the Greek Islands - there was no fixed itinerary for this trip, so having something on all the islands in one book was great. People on the trip with us also had Lonely Planets, Rough Guides and Frommers equivalents ... this book had the most pictures, so was used by the group to have an overview of the location ... anyone wanting more detail on the history, towns and facilities turned to the other guides.

I was looking for a book that covered Kefalonia and so ordered this one. However, the sections for each island are too small to be of much use. ok if you just want a general idea.

Lovely book & informative
This series produces books with colour, you want to read them. It gave me a good feel for Kos and the other islands nearby. It covers what it says, all the Greek islands
