What a great helpful book, would never travel without it, first time backpacking in Greece, it was used all the time. Especially helpful when it comes to ferries and maps of each islands ports. (traveled Sept 99)

Being a "Greek Island Fan" as long as one is totally independant, this book has really been the most useful of anything written until now. Having travelled to 6-7 islands over a month last year, we found that it was reasonably up to date. Wanted to send some new info, but when one is loving every minute of being there, we never seemed to get down to writing it down when we got home.

Will try to do better this year!

This book is fantastic detailed - it really helps you choose which islands to visit and then how to make the most of them when you get there, and the ferry information is as good as it possibly can be (Greek ferries being fairly random). Far superior to any other similar guides, unless you just want to know the location of the nearest post office etc.

It really seems like this guy has explored every inch of every single island covered! And its written in a very readable informal style too, and made me laugh a few times, which is a first for a guide book.
