4.0 out of 5 stars It has a story! 23 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Typically I avoid Medical Romances thinking too Dr. Kildare or always Dr/Nurse relationships. I read this Amy Andrews as the final book of 3 with other authors and was very pleasantly surprised. Its more laboratory/research than hospital romance.

Izzy shuns relationships of any form after she almost died several times during a photo shoot as a famous model 15 years ago. She changed career track and now researches what almost killed her and that's how she meets the Dr. we hope will change her views about men. I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded. It was refreshing to read about a heroine & hero who have scars, physical and emotional - who were not God's gift to men or women!

I will definitely be downloading more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greek Doctor Cindrella Bride by Amy Andrews 25 Jan 2011

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Dressed in her shapeless lab coats and baggy clothes, no one could know medical research assistant Izzy might once have become Australia's next supermodel. Since an experience left her scarred emotionally and physically, she has hidden herself away. Greek doctor Alex Zaphirides can have any woman he wants. Despite vowing never to let a woman close again, he's intrigued by shy, innocent Izzy - and is determined to be her Prince Charming.

He'll show her just how beautiful she really is - and turn her into the most stunning bride Australia has ever seen!

Amy Andrews is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This was a sweet romance with lots of emotion and the happily-ever-after you expect from Harlequin with a lot in between. It is definitely going into the favorites folder on my Kindle Home page to be read again. Alex was a strong but loveable hero with his own scars from throat cancer and a fickle fiance who left him after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Izzy a once top model stung and scarred by a box jellyfish now dedicates her life to working in a lab on a project to lessen the damage done by the deadly box jellyfish. Her time as a model caused her to have unrealistic expectations about her body and perfection. After being dumped by two different men once they saw her scars she's spent the last several years basicily covered from head to toe and celebate, that is until she finally meets the man in charge of the project she's been working on the past two years.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read 24 Mar 2013

This is my first Amy Andrews book. I gave it a rating of four stars because I connected with the main characters who are very real people coping with traumatic events that caused drastic changes in their lives. I like that the story has a good blend of insight into the research of box jellyfish, impact of the damage caused by getting stung, and of course, romance. I'm a Harlequin Presents and Desire fan. I have only read two authors in this series, but it's safe to say that, now, I'm also a Medical Romance fan.
