Product Description

Description

On its 2007 Sumerian Records debut, THE GREATEST SHOW UNEARTHED, the Los Angeles-based duo Creature Feature unveils a gleefully ghoulish set of goth-rock tunes. Consisting of singer/guitarist Curtis RX and keyboardist Erik X, the act crafts spooky songs that mix pop hooks with horror-movie atmospherics. Highlights of UNEARTHED include the carnival-themed, ska-tinged title track and "A Gorey Demise", a number that isreminiscent of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS soundtrack, and nods to the playfully morbid artist/writer Edward Gorey.

5.0 out of 5 stars If Danny Elfman & Tim Burton had a musical love child..., 1 Oct 2009

(REAL NAME)
...Creature Feature would be it. Gloriously creepy spooktastic fun, song subjects span everything from Alien Invasions to Ghoulish Kidnappings and still manage to be fun and remarkably catchy. The music itself sounds like all the best sounds of Halloween and rock put together, the lyrics are excellent and I think the bands writing ability really shines on Such Horrible Things and A Gorey Demise, fantastic lyrics and great music to support them! One of my own personal favourite albums of all time. Creature Feature...you'll dig them like a grave.

4.0 out of 5 stars Creepy Fun, 14 Jul 2009
The Greatest Show UnearthedThe funniest creeps or the creepiest fun. You tell me. Light dark sense of humour at his best. Relentlessly. No word is spared and no idea (iDead?) goes unused. And a great sound to go with it. Let's rock it ladies and germs.
