More About the Author

An Irish writer, with a background in the nursing profession, whose debut novel three years ago (2011) is called "Day of Reckoning," which tells the story of a drug smuggler operating in Eastern Europe.
This was followed by a thriller called "Holiday Fear," about a serial killer terrorising the population of the Queens borough of New York City at Christmas time.
There followed two novellas called " A long Road Home," and its sequel "A Love Like Ours." The stories' protagonist is a young man called Tommy Doyle who is admitted to a mental institution at the tender age of sixteen years. While in hospital the boy endures physical and mental abuse as well as a mis-diagnosis. The story continues in "A Love Like Ours," with Tommy meeting his lover and soul mate, Brenda Kennedy, who has also endured a tragic past. The two lovers are blissfully happy but can their happiness last or has life one final tragedy awaiting them?
Last year my son Mark and I compiled a world fact and joke book, and called it "Tales, Trivia and Tomfoolery." Towards the end of the year I wrote a childrens' Christmas story with the title- "Emily's Magical Christmas," in honour of my grand-daughter Emily.
At the beginning of 2014 I wrote and published a Beatles tribute book on the 50th. anniversary of the band having their first hit in the U.S.and followed this with "50 Greatest Rolling Stones Tracks + 50 greatest albums of the 1970s."
I've just published "Goin' to Heaven, Goin' Home" this month (October 2014) about rock and pop stars that have died at an early age. In November 2015 my latest novel, "In The Shadow of Fear," was published. The story following the exploits of Tommy Doyle, who is now a successful businessman and part owner of an exclusive hotel in Sydney's Balmoral area. Life has never been better for Tommy until his nephew runs off with one of the hotel's waitresses. The family are aghast when they learn that the girl is the step-sister of a notorious gangster who when hearing of the affair decides that the time has come for the family to suffer. He won't be content until the entire family is dead!

Last week I downloaded my copy. I thoroughly enjoyed Kevin Taggart's 50 Beatles Songs. That was a totally different approach to my favorite band. Now he's got a knockout companion covering the Rolling Stones which I knew would be equally as good if not better !! I just love this concept . A trawl through what he regards as the 50 Greatest Stones songs. Well discussing this with a couple of friends raised a few disagreements but we all agreed that it was a good idea .The aditional area of interest is his 50 Greatest Albums Of The 70s. Now I had been a DJ for some 20 years but many of the titles I had forgotten about so I decided to revisit with a new approach. For instance Tapesty is a total joy to hear most certainly a classic along with many more I was reminded of .The whole book puts me in mind of goinground to your best pal's Bedsit and having a trawl through his LP collection to turn up some gems. All that is missing is the Lager .Keep em coming Mr Taggart as there are many more artists and bands we would love you to cover.

Given To Me For An Honest Review

If you are interested in music or just love it then this book is one you just might want to read. Ken Taggart has done an amazing job with putting together 50 of the greatest songs the Rolling Stones have done. Included with them are extensive notes attached with each. Also included is a second book that has 50 of the greatest albumns of the 1970s. Some of those are albumns of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. These groups sold their albumns in the tens of millions. There are also extensive notes attached with those. I loved reading this book. Talk about memory lane. Kevin Taggart did a great job with the making of this book. I highly recommend it to all. I look forward to more from Taggart.

This is a fun book. As I read it I was reminded of the huge number of fantastic hits by the stones throughout my adult years. A trip down rock memory lane.
