5.0 out of 5 stars teenage heartbreaker. 23 Aug 2004
Format:Audio CD
I Think We're Alone Now, is still massive 18 years on since it was #1 here in the UK. Tiffany is brilliant, i love her!!! she was huge in 88/89, other hits in the UK Could've Been, I Saw Him Standing There, Feelings Of Forever, Radio Romance and All This Time are all included here for us all just to relive those special teenage heartbreaker moments in our lives. Fantastic must listen too tracks are Danny and the adorable Here In My Heart which brings a tear to anybody's eyes i am sure. This is a really good cd and well worth a listen by anyone - apparantley Tiffany is Britney Spears most favourite singer...cool!!, the only thing disappointing about this cd is their is none of the "missing years" singles like New Inside and the adorable "If Love Is Blind", but they are available too buy still if you so wish to ear them. If you like this cd i recommend you check out The Color Of Silence, with its cool, raunchy, sexy, naughty, angry lyrics. Tiffany should be massive worldwide.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brief but successful career as a hit-maker 18 April 2011
By Peter Durward Harris #1 HALL OF FAME TOP 10 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
Tiffany still records music and performs live, but she will always be remembered for the hits that she recorded in the late eighties. This compilation covers the period 1987 to 1990 and includes all her British and American hits from that period, as well as several singles that failed to chart and one track that wasn't released as an A side single.

The album opens with Tiffany's biggest hit, I think we're alone now, which was a cover of a sixties song by Tommy James and the Shondells. Tiffany's version became a number one hit on both sides of the Atlantic; the original version had been a huge hit (but not a number one) in America, yet failed to chart in ?Britain. Tiffany's other American number one hit, Could've been, became a top five hit in Britain . Her gender-adapted cover of a Beatles song, I saw him standing there, became a top ten hit on both sides of the Atlantic. All those tracks originally appeared on Tiffany's eponymous debut album, together with Danny (her debut single that failed to chart) and Feelings of forever (a minor hit on both sides of the Atlantic). Both of those tracks are included here.

Tiffany's second album (Hold an old friend's heart) sold well enough without matching the success of its predecessor, but its singles were noticeably less successful. The first single from the album, All this time was a top ten hit in America and a minor hit in Britain. The follow-up, Radio romance, was a top twenty hit in Britain and a minor hit in America. It was to be Tiffany's last hit in the main pop charts in either country.

The music is in some ways typical pop music of the era, but while I don't like everything from that period by any means, I find this compilation very appealing.

3.0 out of 5 stars All the commercial stuff! 9 April 2007
By ReviewBlog51 TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
I have always been of the opinion that Tiffany had a great voice for such a young girl. She shone brightly but briefly in the late '80s with pop hits like 'I Think We're Alone Now' (a number one in both the US and UK), 'Radio Romance' and her cover of the Beatles classic 'I Saw Her Standing There'.

This CD lives up to it's name, it's her 'greatest hits', therefore all the tracks you'd expect to hear at an '80s disco. The problem is, it doesn't really reflect all of Tiffany's talents. The smash hit country flavored ballad 'Could've Been' was, and still is, a great song, and 'Feelings Of Forever' and 'Hold An Old Friend's Hand', a minor hit and the title track of her second LP will tuck at your heartstrings.

But apart from that, the rest is too commercial and bubblegum for my tastes, but if you enjoy all of that, you'll be satisfied by the track listing. The obscure 'Mr Mambo' is the only B side included here, but it's such a naff song, it's way too long for a start, cheesy to the power of ten, and serves as nothing more than filler. The excellent fan favourite 'Can't Stop A Heartbeat' would have been more welcome.

Speaking of rarity, the CD also includes two tracks from her third album 'New Inside', which was never released in the UK and sank without trace in the US in 1990. The tracks are the sickly sweet 'Back In The Groove', and the far better 'Here In My Heart', a passionate song about lost love.

If you want my advice, skip this album and try to find the import compilation 'All The Best', which contains the hits, the good stuff on here, but also some excellent material from her rare fourth album 'Dreams Never Die', and some other goodies.
