Well, I waited a while to get this and it went out of print so I had to pay a premium price to get it. I usually always go with, "when it's there, get it". I'm just not a huge fan of The Bangles although I do like some of their songs. After hearing this recording I realized how many of their songs I do like. Many reviews of this effort comment on how they failed to include some of their earlier stuff which seemed more raw "garage band". Still, there are a great mix of songs.
Now for the SACD part. For my ears and system, this appears to be a well mastered disc. Sound adjustments are few if any. Some reviews I've read were kinda negative. Some are very technical. There are many sound systems out there ranging from several hundred to several+ thousands of dollars. I'm sure the better the system the better it is to detect flaws. I currently have a moderatly priced Onkyo system that is a few years old. It does not take a $10,000 system to enjoy high definiton music. I find the sound to be clear, balanced which is important for stereo SACD's. So far I've been able to pick out bad sounding recordings.
I recommend this disc for all Bangles fans. High definition music fans that want to broaden their collection would be wise to get it on SACD.
