This is not my favourite queen album, however. Probably because I've heard all the songs too often and they are all fairly commercial. My album of choice would either be Queen 2 or Sheer Heart Attack. Though if you don't own any queen albums or have never heard them (you are either under 7, dead or from Mars) this is the ideal place to start.
It is impossible to fault this album, so if you don't own it, buy it now!!!
Bo Rhap, Crazy Little Thing, Champions, Lover Boy, Save Me, Now I'm Here - do you need me to continue?
This is music at it's very best. A rock band not afraid to experiment, refusing to be bound by others expectations. Queen are so unique that these songs could not have been by any other group or band. You need to own this, you really do.
Which some people find strange because I'm 13, female and all my friends love teenybop music, which I hate.
Queen are a legend. Every song they ever recorded is excellent, this one being the first of three-so far-Greatest Hits album, though every album is a hit.
Timeless classics up 'til 1980, including the epic Bohemian Rhapsody, anthems We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions, groovy Another One Bites The Dust, the different and lyrically strange Killer Queen and Seven Seas Of Rhye...too many to describe.
Queen still live on, even with the tragic death of Freddie, and they'll always have a place in my heart, and my CD rack.
"Goodbye everybody, I've got to go, gotta leave you all behind and face the truth"
