Thank-You Lulu for giving us this great collection. 'Where The Poor Boys Dance' is quite simply stunning. Lulu's version of the song she wrote for Tina Turner, Don't Wanna Fight is fabulous.
Lulu has been there since I was a teen, remeber buying "oh Me Oh My" in 1969 and that's included here too. Also great is "I Could Never Miss u More Than I do". Well the whole album is good, Lulu is a legend and deserves to be even more famous. NZ kind of missed out on Lulu's 90s success so it was great to hear the songs - Where The poor Boys Dance, Independence and Hurt Me So Bad - awesome!!!

This 'Greatest Hits' really does include the best of Lulu's work.
From 'Shout' to 'We've Got Tonight'. Stand out tracks for me are Lulu's own version of the song she wrote and gave to Tina Turner, 'I Don't Wanna Fight',really beautiful and 'Where The Poor Boy's Dance'which shows just how Lulu has transcended the generations, if you haven't heard it get this CD!! This one track was worth getting this CD for! Absolutely stunning.
Other great tracks are "Oh Me Oh My" from 1969 and 'I Could Never Miss You' (More Than I do)which was a hit in the USA as well as 'To Sir With Love' a classic and a duet with Maurice Gibb, 'The First Of May'. Love this album, Great!

She's been around forever and maintained a regular recording presence so a greatest hits collection was always going to be diverse & wonderful, but its a pity that not all the hit singles are on here making this not a definitive 'best of'. Some of the 60's stuff like 'I'm A Tiger' & 'Me The Peaceful Heart' are poppy froth but they were top ten hits and deserve their place here. Likewise standout northern soul ballad 'Leave A Little Love' surprisingly absent. Too many duets from her hit album 'Together' are included which is a bit of a waste as some werent even singles! Moans aside though 'Where The Poor Boys Dance' still makes the hairs on the back of the neck tingle - a rare example of an artist with a long career recording one of their best tracks later on. 'Boom Bang A Bang' is unavoidable but her Bowie & Bond tracks balance that out and let's face it - 'Relight My Fire' wouldn't have been half as good without Lu's contribution! The song style vary quite dramatically but the one constant is Lulu's top vocal abilities.

Great to here all these old records all on c.d with great duets along with other artists. I was very moved when Lulu sang with Morris Gibb.

Great but poor sound quality
