Classic Culture Club! 22 July 2011
This is a must have album for anyone wanting the best of Culture Club! At 23 years old now, I missed out on Culture Club's active years (although I did experience their reunion in the late 90's), but thanks to some excellent education from my Mum on the best of 80's music, these songs have been with me throughout my life. This album brings back so many memories for me and it's such a feel-good album. It's got every 'classic' you could want on this CD - Karma Chameleon, Church of the poison mind, Do you really want to hurt me, It's a miracle...etc. It was so good, we also bought the DVD of music videos and live performance in Hammersmith. Boy George is such a outstanding performer and these songs are full of the energy and fun of this amazing artist. Watching his early 80's performances and listening to the hits, I'm contantly in awe of what a wonderful entertainer Boy George is. This album is a must for anyone wanting an injection of good, catchy 80's classics!

Well this is from when Boy George used to write & sing songs that were relevant & tuneful. Before he became too self indulgent.
Of course I was a Culture Club fan from the 80's and listening to this album made me realize yet again, what a great pop group they were. With George's brilliant music, poignant lyrics & soulful voice; he was like an old fashioned female diva at the height of her powers.
I would be very surprised to hear anyone else wring such bittersweet emotion from any other selection of pop songs.
I am a fan & know so many of my friends who will regard Culture Club/Boy George as their secret pleasure & would recommend this to anyone. From the first bars of Do you really wanna hurt me, it evokes so many memories and transports me back to a very fun period of my life

First ever, full Culture Club singles collection. No Boy George solo singles but including minor hits such as "The Medal Song", "Mistake #3" and "Cold Shoulder". This is good if you are into blue eyed soul.
