Yes, another Blondie (19-tracks) Greatest Hits compilation and Atomic (the very best of Blondie) is still selling. Why you may ask? First of all this compilation contains Blondie's most recent number one hitsingle: MARIA! Besides that all tracks are re-mastered and sounds as fresh and sparkling like if they were recorded in 2002! They re-mastered the beautiful "Best of Blondie" mixes of In The Flesh, Heart Of Glass, and the Anglo/French version of Sunday Girl. Furthermore the U.S. single killer The Hardest Part is included! Those are not to be found on the Atomic (very best of..)

O.K. one point to go: this compilation does not include Fade Away & Radiate and I'm gonna love you too. But for these songs you can consider to buy Parallel Lines (Blondie's multi-platinum selling studio album)which is completely re-mastered last year!

As the owner of probably every Blondie collection known to man (and there have been many over the 20 years since "The Best Of Blondie" was released in 1981). This cd is the same cd that was released in the US with a different cover but same contents. This cd features no b-sides or remixes or hidden rare vault stuff or live tracks but only hit singles. This cd features Blondie's 7 number one singles from the US and UK :"Heart Of Glass" (UK and US),"Sunday Girl" (UK),"Atomic"(UK and US dance charts in 1995,"Call Me"(UK and US),"The Tide Is High"(UK and US),"Rapture"(US ) and "Maria" (UK). You also get the classic singles from their first lp of "In The Flesh","X Offender" and "Rip Her To Shreds". From Plastic Letters- "Denis" (#2 in the UK) and "(I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence,Dear (# 10 in the UK). From Parallel Lines - "Hanging On The Telephone" (#5 in the UK),"Picture This"(#12 in the UK),and "One Way Or Another" (#24 in the US only). From Eat To The Beat the classic "Dreaming"(#2 in the UK and #27 in the US),"Union City Blue" (#13 in the UK) and "The Hardest Part" (#84 in the US).And also included is the last US top 40 single "Island Of Lost Souls"(#37 in the US). All classic songs from one of the most important bands that ever graced the planet Earth. If you think No Doubt or Madonna are an original idea then listen to Debbie and the guys and find out where all this music came from. Deborah Harry is GOD!

Blondie's Greatest hit's is just about the best that any artist can offer. From Punk to Funk to Techno Rock to Pop, Blondie has put it all here for you, no less than a dozen plus hits. Blondie were the #1 Selling band on the planet from 1978-1981, giving us ground breaking rock, including "Heart of Glass, Rapture and Atomic". They were also the first artist to release a Video Album for their 1979 album "Eat to the Beat". Blondie also gave Hip Hop the break it needed, when "Rapture" was the first ever #1 Rap song, as was "The Tide is High" the first #1 Reggae song that millions around the world ever heard.

Quick break down on several stand out tracks:

Dreaming: Probally Blondie's best written song, an absolutely wonderful rock classic.

Call Me: One of the biggest songs ever charted, great Techno Rock, with delicious lyrics. The song that defined the 1980's.

One way or another: The great punk stalker track, hard driving beat.

Heart of Glass: The Techno Rock Disco song that sold millions of copies and made Blondie the Super Group they are still today.

Rapture: Ground Breaking, lyrics are great fun and the music score is just awesome, a really super cool song.

Atomic: The most sensual song ever to chart, just hypnotizing lyrics. Deborah Harry is the God of Rock.

Denis: Pure Bilingual magic, Deborah Harry is just fantastic!

Sunday Girl: Sweet, just like Ice Cream.

Maria: The #1 comeback Smash. It had New Wave 1979 written all over it, but surprise it was 1999. Incredible comeback song.
