This is the best ever 80s collection, For the amount of songs you can get for about more or less 10 pounds, you get plenty of value for money. Combined together with the second volume, the collection becomes even better.

Some of the songs may not be familiar to UK listener as they may be predominantly American hit singles and vice versa. The only reason why I give this collection 4.5 stars is that it doesn't includes lyrics, liner notes or even chart positions but maybe that would be too much to ask for. However, I don't know why relax by FGTH is repeated in both collections which is a waste of money. Most of all, it would have been great to

include American artists signed to EMI affliated labels such as the Motels (Only The Lonely) to british and european audiences

as well as rock and roll artists like Warrant,Motley Crue and others.

I'd like to point out that I love 80's music and grew up in that era. I have many complation albums at home but , hay what's one more, especially when it's great value for money at around 5 euros....or is it?
This is a box set which includes 8 cd's, couldn't wait to listen to them. However, although you have a few classic's thrown in, kids in america, do you really want to hurt me and Vienna by Ultravox there is nothing by the Thompson twins, Howard Jones or Alison Moyet for example.for every 3 good songs on each C.D there are at least 10 that you will want to forward as they were one hit wonders or very early 80's american dance tracks. My advice is to read the content sleeve before purchase. I can only give it an ok rating but then again , thats just my opinion.
