As soon as I played this CD I knew it didn't sound right. The music has been heavily processed using dynamic range compression, and it sounds atrocious. What a shame, why can't they just leave the audio alone.

70's music 7 Sep 2011
Format:Audio CD
I was hoping this would transport me back to the 70's, but many of the songs I remember from the seventies, were not on this album, I was a little disappointed. Sorry to say it's put away in a drawer!

Fantastic Value 22 Jan 2012

54 songs on 3 CDs for £3.99 - what more could one want? Sound quality a bit thin and tinny? Nah - this isn't the opera at Covent Garden - but I bet it's a lot better than when you first heard the original on some tinny transistor radio 35 years ago on Radio 1 or Capital Radio. 75% of the songs I recognised and loved. £3.99? Little more than the price of a pint of beer or the Sunday paper - what are you complaining about? It's absolutely brilliant! Buy a few copies as presents for your friends now nearing retirement to remind them of what decent pop music sounded like - when the performers could sing, there was a good tune and they could all play an instrument. Unlike the synthetic rubbish churned out today.
