About the Author
Joshua Mowll studied at art school before working as a graphic artist for newspapers. He is the author of Operation Red Jericho, Operation Storm City and Operation Tyhoon Shore which make up the Guild Trilogy. He lives in London.

The Great Space Race, by Joshua Mowll, is a brilliant book. I think it is so good because it is exciting and I never wanted to stop reading it. It is a comedy, action adventure. It is about a monkey robot called Barry that saves a family called the Crankshaws from going completely broke. Mr Crankshaw is an inventor and Barry is his best invention. He sells the design to businessman Zack Zircon for £500. This was a mistake because Zircon changed the name to Zircobot and made millions of dollars out of the idea. The story is about Ace Crankshaw who buys a rocket for £5 on the internet so he can enter Zircon's Great Space Race and win back the fortune.
