Fantastic lush arrangements and the St George's Hall acoustics make this a real listening experience. Quite apart from the nostalgia element--listening to these takes you right back to the thrill of seeing the film for the first time and the associated poignant memories of times gone by--the technical quality is excellent. The stand out tracks are the Theme from Jurassic Park in which John Williams' brillaint ability to engage the listener in the narrative of his music is at its best. The pathos of Williams' superb Love Theme from Superman will make you listen again and again to this haunting track. But for sheer exhuberance and energy, Klaus Badelt's Pirates of the Caribbean stands out. Ted Rickett's arrangement is set to be an absolute classic.
