I was very lucky to go to a school which specialised in art, but also offered a grammar education too. That was back in the sixties, in Birmingham.
We learned etching, hands-on, and I sought inspiration wherever I could. Finding Dover books was very useful for that purpose, because they gave me a comprehensive look at the work of various artists. The quality of their reproductions and clarity of paper and text was unerringly good. The Goya books, in particular, I found most excellent, but I long lost access to them. Imagine my delight at being able to get them again from Amazon, a great service!
