I made this with my 4yo daughter (and I agree with a previous reviewer that the age range needs to be more clearly stated as I'm sure the well-meaning relative would not have bought this if she'd seen 8+ on the box). I am a fairly accomplished crafter and even I found this immensely fiddly. Everything is stuck together with cheap stickybacked plastic, the quality of the fabric used for the dress is poor and the photography for the instructions is unclear (pink background, pink doll). Avoid, it has no durability as a toy and will simply collect dust as an ornament (that's if the stickyback tape keeps everything together long enough to get it into the child's room!). If this is a child's first experience of making something for themselves they're likely to be very disappointed with the end product.

Nice little kit, with all the stuff you need to make the doll look like the picture on the box. i don't think it's going to last long tho, the dress is stuck to the doll with double sided sticky tape.
good project for a wet afternoon, but more a room decoration than a toy once it's completed.

My 5 year old loved making this. I explained beforehand that she would be making an ornament for her dressing table - so she wouldn't be disappointed because it certainly isn't durable enough to play with. She was delighted with the finished item and very proud of her achievement, despite the need for Mum's help. Worth the price.
