A great CD brings back the early mod revival of 79-85. Not only that but both my sons who are 16 and 18 think this is great. Very much in the style of The Jam, Small Faces, Paul Weller and the modern Enemy. Why have only just discovered them!

Just awesome. 7 May 2010
Format:Audio CD
A month ago I had no idea who this band were, until I stumbled across this album. How hadn't I heard of these? They're simply awesome, and this album is one of the best albums I've ever listened to. Their other album "No Love Lost" is pretty good too, they also have some very good B-sides.

One of the most underrated bands around. Top band.

Don't really have time to write reviews but felt I must with this album. Bought this on an amazon recommendation and has proved one of the best albums I have ever bought. Every song is brilliant - all with a catchy chorus. Why had I not heard about this band before? Some reviewers say it is a throw back to the sounds of the late 70s early 80s and I agree it is but with a musical range in line with the modern era. Along with Two Door Cinema Club it is the best album buy in years.

It's been said before but...
...how is it that this band isn't more popular?

They are simply brilliant. Soooo much better than all of the other banal, production line pop littering the charts these... Read more

Top class
I've had this CD for ages and should have wrote a review before now.

The Rifles are Britain's great secret and this CD is absolutely brilliant.

A Classic Album

Progress from "No Love Lost2
OK "No Love Lost" was a bit like the Jam, but nearly all the songs were great, everything's a bit like something that's gone before, and arguably The Jam is an admirable band by... Read more

A must buy
After listening their first album I thought it would be virtually impossible to produce another of the same quality. I was wrong. Read more

Not firing blanks
The thing I love about the band and the album is the uncanny ability to write reasonably short and simple songs which acquire their own richness through repeated listening. Read more

Rifles- hated by the NME loved by the people
The second album from the mod/indie band The Rifles, was delayed whilst the album was reworked. I think it has 95% worked, and it's just as catchy as the first album by the band. Read more

You've been Rifled
This is Mod music for the modern age. Without a doubt this is a cracking second album from the rifle lads. Its more grown up than the first with more depth in the songs. Read more
