5.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent and accessible guide to great Burgundy wjnes., 1 Feb 2001
By A Customer
Norman has the gift of writing in a clear, and highly readable manner about the great domaines of Burgundy. He demystifies the subject without it losing the charm of its mystery, and writes so accessibly and intelligently that the book is likely to appeal to novices and experts.

He covers the great domaines of the Cote d'Or in great detail, with photographs and personal descriptions of the winemakers, giving an insightful idea of the character each gives to their wines. There are excellent sections at the back of the book explaining how the wines are made, and how the differences come about.
