Highly recommended for:
- good traditional story-telling
- believable characters
- a flowing narrative that urges the reader on
- an exciting 'real world' situation with no need of science fiction or magic.
This enjoyable tale will provide entertaining reading practice for 'juniors' and make a good addition to any list of stories to be read to younger children. Hopefully Tom, Jack and Jenny will have more adventures fo us to share.

I love sharing books with my grandchildren ,but I realised that I needed to catch up with them on technology ! "A great catch" is a great way to begin . It is an enjoyable , comfortable , almost old fashioned read .The author has such a good understanding that children of this age while having a great sense of adventure also need a warm , safe place to return to .The location of the story
Is vividly described and this helps to make it a lovely read to share . They all wish they could be there . I have suggested to a friend that her ten year old daughter would enjoy reading this story to her six year old sister .
