Racing since the late '80's he has been there and, as they say, done it, worn the t-shirt! Clive went to the mountain bike World Championships in Vail Colorado in 1994 as a privateer, the following season he was signed to ride for the prestigious Volvo Cannondale European squad. He moved to Scotland in 2005 to develop his teachings as one of Europe's top mountain bike skills tutors. Clive is a regular contributor to various magazines and websites, he is regularly featured on anything that requires high speed skill or top notch teaching techniques. Clive currently rides for Transition bikes and competes in various mountain bike discipline's from short course traditional downhill to 24 hour cross country.

Clive has always been at the forefront of mountain bike development and was instrumental in bringing Enduro stage racing to the UK. The 2007 UK round of the Saab Salomon Avalanche Trophy held at Glentress forest was the first of it's kind in the UK. He also consults on mountain bike trail design and technical specifications with Forestry Commission Scotland while continuing to develop the skills instructor programme with Britain's oldest and largest cycling organization The CTC.
