Bought as a gift for Christmas it is full of lovely new ideas. Having watched the series on television, I was a little disappointed there was little or no mention of some of the ingredients as discussed on the programme. Shame as that really was so interesting. I am sure it will be enjoyed by the recipient. Once again it arrived very soon after ordering and in pristine condition

Given as a present for the wife at Christmas as she enjoyed the series and it was gratefully received. If you enjoyed the series and want to create the recipes mentioned then this is a good book. Nice photos to show how they should look are inspirational and the recipes and guides mentioned are easy to follow. The bits of information about the main ingredients give it an extra dimension over other cookbooks but more importantly the food does taste great on a plate and that's all you really want.

I was given this book as a BIrthday present recently, and although I have not watched the television show, I recognise many of the contributors. The book is beautifully presented, with each contributor and ingredient having its own chapter. The background information and history of the use of each ingredient is really interesting and is accompanied by some gorgeous photographs. The recipes are unusual but easily achievable for the every day domestic cook.

It is so true, we must buy British and local - or we will lose these lovely foods! What I love about the book is that it provides you with the producers where you can purchase fresh foods if not locally, at least hopefully you can call for information.

Contains excellent and very do-able recipes from a number of top chefs each of which focussed on one particular ingredient. If you watched this series (or the previous one) you will want to buy this book.

I like the whole ethos of reviving forgotten ingredients and it has prompted me to use ingredients I haven't used for a long time.
Lovely looking book too.

Great book with lots of interesting recipes for UK produced food. Follows the TV series and gives new ways of cooking some common foods.

Don't bother with this volume! It was not worth waiting for, do not use either for reference or for inspiration
