I bought this book as a teaching assistant wanting ideas of games to play with the kids for short peiods when the teachers are busy. It is a wonderful book with clear explanations of games such as mind, word, pencil-paper, table top etc, giving age and number of players appropriate, and although not fully useable for school as it also contains party, water and card games, I found it a brillant resource to fill those last 10-15 minutes of the day, when you and the kids are tired.

The book is great if you have children from 6-12 years not the 3-14 it states on the front. There are very limited ideas for children below 4 years.

A boring read! 1 Aug 2008
By laura
Format:Paperback
Most games in this book, even the simplist have over a side of A4 explaining them, not for quick for suggestions as its a very heavy read! Most of the games require two or more children but a significant amount require 4+. The games are either obvious and well known, or complex. Some of the games are laughable, (a section on fighting games!) and is aimed at an american audience.
